Meet Dr. Simonsen and Staff |
Dennis L. Simonsen, DMDDr. Simonsen graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in 1989. He continued with a pre-dental science curriculum in 1998, receiving his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from Oregon Health Sciences University in 2004. Dr. Simonsen is a member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association and Washington County Dental Society. He has held various board positions with the Washington County Dental Society as well as positions with the Oregon Dental Association. He now actively volunteers in his community with his professional skills.
Dr. Simonsen is enrolled in the highly prestigious Kois Center for Dental Excellence. From this comprehensive nine-course curriculum involving aesthetic, occlusion and restorative dentistry, Dr. Simonsen is continuing work toward extraordinary levels of dentistry. He is expanding his application skills and knowledge in restorative dentistry thereby enhancing his ability to evaluate and treat complex dental situations.
Dr. Simonsen has lived in the Bethany area of Washington County since 1996. He is married and has two daughters. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, listening to Hawaiian music, and grilling on his barbeque. He enjoys outdoor activities including gardening, fishing, skiing and researching his family heritage.
Caprice: Front Office ManagerCaprice is our friendly Front Office Manager, and she is who you will be greeted by when you enter our office. Caprice has over 31 years of experience, coming to us from a dental practice in the Multnomah Village, where she had worked as a dental assistant and front office manager. She is married with 2 grown daughters and a sassy yorkie named Abby. In her free time, Caprice enjoys spending time with her very large extended family, playing volleyball and cross stitching.
Tiffany: Dental Hygienist
Tiffany was born and raised in Astoria, OR. She attended Oregon State University for her undergraduate degree in General Science. Tiffany always new she wanted to pursue a carrier in health care, where she can do something to make people’s lives better. So after graduating from OSU Tiffany was accepted in to the dental hygiene program at Mt. Hood Community College bringing her to the big city. Tiffany has been working as one of our two dental hygienists since 2014 and is a valued member of our team. She currently resides in Forest Grove Oregon with her husband and daughter. Tiffany enjoys hiking, gardening, camping and traveling.
Randi: Dental Hygienist
Randi is a Hygiene graduate of Mt. Hood Community College. The states of North Carolina and Oregon have employed her in both general dentistry and periodontology, culminating about 35 years as a hygienist. She really enjoys her patients and the bonds that develop. Her husband is a retired periodontist and they have three young adult children. She loves hiking, camping, biking, skiing, and gardening.
Maria: Dental Assistant
Maria was born and raised in Oregon and graduated from Glencoe High school. She enjoys spending time with her son and when the opportunity arises, likes to travel.
In 2014 Maria completed her training as an expanded function dental assistant, and has been with Dr. Simonsen’s office since the beginning of 2015.
What Maria enjoys most as an assistant is interacting with the patients. Her background prior to the dental field was in customer service.
